St Peters Square

This blog will show the construction of a new Model Railway by the two remaining members of the Laindon Model Railway Group, Roger Hobson and Perry Andrews.

The layout was named after former member and my father Peter Andrews who sadly passed away in 1997.

May 2018 - Construction begins.

We decided on a kit for the baseboard to enable a quicker construction. The design is the same as we used for previous layouts using ply all round for lightness and strength. The kit is laser cut with accurate joints. The picture shows the kit assembled but without glue or screws and shows how good the joins are.
